internally.DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager is responsible
for:
- Managing multiple projects in various locations, touring sites
daily during construction
- Participating in the design process providing budget, schedule,
and construct-ability input
- Reviewing and interpreting plans & specifications
- Managing relationships and interfacing with appropriate
personnel on a daily basis
- Preparing requests for proposals, analyzing/aligning bids,
making award recommendation
- Negotiating and preparing construction & consultant
contracts
- Providing day-to-day management, technical direction,
supervision and coordination of construction activities
- Reviewing and tracking project invoices, RFIs, Submitals,
Budgets
- Developing, managing, and updating project schedule
- Evaluating and negotiating pay requests and change orders
- Working with property management team
- Leading regularly scheduled meetings
- Administering punch list and project close-out activities
- Reporting project status regularlyProfileThe right Assistant
Project Manager will have:
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
(preferred)
- 2+ years of Commercial Construction Assistant Project
Management experience
- Demonstrates good judgement and professionalism
- Handle multiple tasks in an organized manner
- Produce quality work on strict deadlines
- Strong technical abilities with construction systems
- Experience managing a team of design/construction
professionals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
