Job Description:

Title: Sr. SQL Database Administrator

Location: 3 Days onsite (Boston), 2 remote

Duration: 12+ month

Purpose of Role:

A professional Sr. SQL Database Administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Brief Description of Accountabilities:
--- Monitor database performance, identifying problems that arise and implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
--- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
--- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
--- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
--- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
--- Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of memory loss.
--- Liaise with senior IT department personnel on various issues
--- Liaise with external consultants/Contractors
--- Project Management
--- Troubleshooting problems with Business Analyst, Server admin & Network admin
--- Involve in Application installation
--- Adherence to documentation requirements

Must Have:

1. Microsoft SQL Expertise. (Need to be Level 2 DBA moving towards Level 3)

2. Other SQL Database Administration

3. Oracle Database Experience

Nice to Have:

1. Postgres Database Experience
